Better Together 2025

A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

Pastor's Encouragement for 2025

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! We have entered the year 2025, and I pray that you experience God’s mighty blessings and power throughout this year. Shalom Grove has set our new goal for 2025 as “Better Together” based on Ecclesiastes 4:12, which says, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

This verse reminds us of an essential truth: the church is a diverse yet unified community, working together through the unique gifts, talents, skills, and experiences of its members. To live out this goal, I encourage you to embrace these three action plans in your life:

1. Exalt God together in worship.
2.
Edify one another with one heart and mind.
3.
Evangelize the world together, sharing God’s love and hope

To help you dive deeper into these plans, please read my material, “Better Together (1),” where I explain each step in more detail. I firmly believe that 2025 can be a year of productivity and spiritual abundance as we demonstrate these action plans in our personal and spiritual lives.

I encourage you to take the 2025 Covenant (included below) as your life guideline for the year. Please also join our Zoom worship services and training programs to grow and connect further.

If you have any questions or need support, feel free to contact us. We are always here to help and pray for you.

May God richly bless you and your family in this new year.

Shalom,
Pastor Lee

My Covenant Statement 2025

I commit to exalting

God

...by prioritizing worship in all aspects of our lives, both individually and as a community, seeking to glorify Him above all else.

I commit to edifying one another

...by loving others as Christ has loved me, building one another up in faith, and living as an active ambassador for Christ, demonstrating His love to the world around me.

I commit to evangelizing the world

...by actively engaging in missions and sharing the gospel with unbelievers, proclaiming the love and salvation of God to all people.

I pledge to faithfully integrate these three goals into my personal lives, living out my faith in ways that reflect my covenant with God and others. I encourage others to remember and embody these commitments: Exalt God, Edify others, Evangelize the world—together advancing God’s kingdom in 2025 and beyond.

The Way the Early Church Functioned From the Very Beginning

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer…All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved (Acts 2:42-47)

As Christians, we are all grafted into the family of God. Each of us is designed to play our part perfectly.

  • If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it (1 Corinthians 12:26).
  • Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness (Hebrews 3:13).

The Rule of Three

  • A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
  • The number three (Gimel in Hebrew) refers to divine fullness, completeness, or perfection
  • It also means for effective ministry and communication
  • Three strands of Trinity
  • May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all (2 Corinthians 13:14).
  • Three strands of Jesus’ ministry
  • Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people (Matthew 4:23).
  • Three strands of prayer
  • Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit (3 John 2, NLT).
  • Three strands of loving God (Matthew 22:37).
  • Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind

Exalting God Together

  • Worshipping God in your priority
  • Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy (Psalm 99:9).
  • In worship, we have the opportunity to experience the presence of God, to hear His voice, and to have Him speak to us.
  • Regularly hosting online worship services with at least 30 participants.
  • Exalt the Word (Sermon)
  • 7 Life Questions; Joshua & 1 Peter; Christian Finance.
  • Exalt God for your victory
  • The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory (Psalm 118:14, NLT).
  • Share your testimony. You give Him more honor and praise by sharing what He has done in your life.

Edifying One Another

Developing committed Christian leadership competences

  • SHAPE leadership development
  • Young Ambassador Programs

Pray and support each other

  • A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:34-35).
  • Friday Intercessory Prayer

Our 2025 Vision ( https://www.shalomgrove.net/our-services)

  • We will partner with 25 countries by sending out 25 ambassadors of God by the year 2025.
  • We have educated 23 ambassadors from 16 countries by the end of 2024.

Evangelizing the World Together

We are a multiplying community

  • As the Father has sent Me, I also send you (John 20:21).
  • Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).

Three phases of evangelism

  • Mission emphasis week (March 30): Sharing your mission projects this year.
  • Mission in action (April – October): You will implement it and all the church will pray for your mission.
  • Mission reflection (November): You will reflect on the positive aspects of your mission project as well as areas for improvement.
